India Tsunami Project
Dwight and Mary worked in Natchipoorum, India, a small fishing village of mud and thatch houses just north of Pondicherry. The catastrophic Tsunami of December, 2004, destroyed many homes there, although the water infiltrated this village more slowly and only up to about 4 feet high. Many fishing boats were lost and some of the homes were just washed away. Others made of mud just sort of melted with the sea water exposure. Visit online photo gallery>>
